Ferns

Ferns have been a favourite in British gardens since Victorian times. They prefer a shady area ideally under trees as this is their native environment.

All our ferns are hardy perennials, some are evergreen others die down for the winter. We grow the majority ourselves the rest are supplied by a specialist nursery in Leicestershire.

We also stock Australian tree ferns - Dicksonia Antarctica and Dicksonia Fibrosa. Bold foliage plants which discard older fronds these eventually form part of the the truck and hold the new fronds high above the ground. They prefer shade and must be protected from frost.

We do not have any tree ferns in stock currently. Large specimens can be ordered.
